This wing-shooting package allows you to blast birds and ducks to your heart’s content down in Argentina! This hunt will have you pulling the trigger non-stop and piling up the birds. You’ll experience the challenging hunting of ducks, large volume of dove shooting, and the uniqueness of the perdiz hunt, as well as enjoy some of Argentina’s best wine and great upscale meals each evening at the outfitter’s lodge. This is a high-end hunting experience like no other!
About the Game Birds:
Duck hunting in Argentina is world-renowned. The hunting area is estimated to hold over 15 million ducks during the season. They live in the country’s fertile wetlands, living off the aquatic plants, insects, and small invertebrates that reside there. Daily limits here far exceed bag limits in North America, so shoot to your heart’s content!
Dove hunting in Argentina is legendary due to the staggering population of doves that call Argentina home. The dove population in the hunting area is estimated at being over 20 million birds! These birds thrive in the vast agricultural fields, where they find abundant food sources, making them a year-round hunting opportunity. There are no bag limits, as these birds are considered an agricultural pest due to their impact on crops. You can shoot thousands of these birds and still have more flying overhead! This type of high-volume wing shooting is a test in endurance and an experience that should certainly never be missed!
Perdiz hunting in Argentina offers a more traditional and challenging upland hunting experience. The spotted tinamou, commonly referred to as "perdiz," is one of the most sought-after species in Argentina. Found in the grassy pampas and rolling plains, perdiz are typically hunted over pointing dogs, adding an exciting element of strategy and skill. Perdiz hunting requires precision shooting, as these birds flush quickly and unpredictably. When paired with duck and dove hunting, perdiz hunting nicely rounds out the trip with a vastly different style of wingshooting experience!
The Hunting Area and Terrain:
There are about 30 different shooting fields throughout the region that this outfitter uses. They cover around 32,000 acres of hunting area around the marshlands and islands of the Parana River. Which fields you will be using will depend on the species, time of the year, and recent habits of the birds. The fields that are covered in the region's natural grass are usually the best to find and hunt perdiz out of, while the fields on the northern end are closest to the large dove roosting area. The ducks are well populated throughout, as the 50 square mile radius around the shooting area is one of Argentina’s best duck reserves in the entire country. The Parana River, which runs through Santa Fe, is one of the longest rivers in the world and is surrounded by thousands of little islands that are just the right place for duck breeding. This is the best wingshooting anywhere in the world.
Hunting Seasons:
The seasons for this hunt are from May through July and can only be booked during those months. While there is no season for dove, both duck and perdiz only run for these months and can only be hunted then. The outer also recommends that the best month in the season to hunt is June, as that is the height of all the bird activity.

This hunt features a 4-star lodge in the Santa Fe province. There are 9 rooms here, each with an en-suite bathroom. The main lodge has a lounge area, dining room, and bar, while the outdoor patio features a fire pit, pool, and additional dining area.
There is internet and TV service here, as well as a daily maid and laundry service. This lodge also features a massage therapist with massage services for an extra fee. A Typical Day Wingshooting in Argentina:
The following is a sample itinerary that can be modified to your preference once at the lodge, but your hunting schedule will follow similar to this:
- Day 1: Arrival at Santa Fe Airport. Direct transfer to the lodge (2-hour drive on average). Hunting time or lunch, depending on the schedule. Afternoon dove shooting. Return to the lodge for cocktails/dinner and sleep.
- Day 2: Breakfast around 6:00 AM and morning duck shooting. Lunch and siesta. Afternoon duck shooting, then back for cocktails and dinner.
- Day 3: Breakfast around 6:00 AM and morning perdiz shooting. Lunch and siesta. Afternoon dove shooting, then back for cocktails and dinner.
- Day 4: Breakfast around 6:00 AM and morning duck shooting. Lunch and siesta. Afternoon duck shooting, then back for cocktails and dinner.
- Day 5: Breakfast around 6:00 AM and morning perdiz or duck shooting. Back for lunch, then an afternoon departure to the airport for your return flight home. If staying overnight, you’ll leave the next morning.
Because of the sheer number of doves, each session will be about three hours of shooting. Duck and perdiz hunting are more variable and can vary depending on the time of the year. Lunch is often prepared in the field with a traditional Argentinian barbecue, where hammocks will be set up to relax and enjoy the fields before beginning the afternoon shoot.
Shotgun Rental:
Shotgun rental is free for the entire hunt, and shells cost $20 per box.
These shotguns are available to rent. 20-gauge shotguns are used for these hunts.
- Benneli Montefeltro
- Bennelli M1 Black
- Beretta Urika 391
- Beretta A400
If you plan to bring your own shotgun, the outfitter recommends high-quality 20-gauge semi-automatics such as Beretta or Bennelli’s. Modified and improved cylinder chokes are recommended.
Getting There:
To get to your final destination at Santa Fe Airport (SFN), the best international connection is through Buenos Aires (Argentina). In Buenos Aires, you'll arrive at Ministro Pistarini International Airport in Ezeiza (EZE) and from there you'll have to change airports to Jorge Newbery Airfield (AEP) to make the flight to Santa Fe (SFN).
Since you have to change airports in Buenos Aires, make sure that you have at least 4 hours between connections. EZE and AEP are located far from each other (almost a 2-hour drive, depending on traffic).
You can arrive on your check-in date and start hunting that same day. Another option is to arrive a day earlier in Buenos Aires, spend the night in the city, and fly to Santa Fe (SFN) the following day.
If there are no flights available to Santa Fe (SFN) on your hunting date, you can also fly to Paraná, General Justo José de Urrquiza (PRA). Paraná is in Entre Ríos province, which is right next to Santa Fe, and is the same distance from the hunting lodge.
Deposit and Payment Policy:
A 50% deposit is due to book this hunt. Full balance must be paid either by wire transfer, credit card, or check 60 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
Deposits are non-refundable. The outfitter may allow a safari to be rescheduled once if requested a minimum of 90 days in advance of the start of the safari at the sole discretion of the outfitter. Rescheduling a hunt for the subsequent year is subject to that year's price list. Any rescheduled safaris are subject to a $150 administration fee to be paid directly to the booking agent. If you are unable to make the trip, you may give or sell it to someone else for the same dates, and you are responsible for notifying your agent of the change. Travel insurance can be obtained to cover unexpected illnesses. A Travel Policy is strongly recommended when traveling to remote areas in foreign countries.
Exclusions: International and domestic airfare, ammunition, shotgun importation costs, last hunting day overnight lodging, international shipping of trophies, insurance, gratuities.
