This is a hunt in the hills of Southern Pakistan for Sindh Ibex. During this hunt, you will stay in a guest house in a village and venture out each day from the village when looking for a trophy Sindh Ibex.
This hunt is like stepping back over a century in time. The areas are remote, the terrain is rugged, and the scenery is breathtaking. The people live in somewhat primitive conditions. Weather can delay travel. This hunt will be a true adventure that you will remember and cherish for many years!
The outfitter is highly experienced with many years of successful hunts under his belt. The expected success rate on this hunt is 100%.
The Sindh Ibex Hunting Area / Terrain
Sindh Ibex are found most frequently at elevations ranging from 1,500m (4,900 ft) up to 2,300m (7,500 ft) above sea level. Depending on the area selected for your hunt, you may be walking in valleys, up mild slopes, or up steep rocky hills. Long walks are the rule rather than the exception.
The outfitter has some remote areas where bigger Ibex are found. To access these areas, the hunter needs to be in excellent shape, and adding a hunting day or two will give you more time to search for that special trophy of a lifetime.
The Sindh Ibex
Sindh Ibex (Capra aegagrus blythi) is an ibex found in the arid and rocky hills of Pakistan and Iran. The Sindh Ibex males have heavy bodies, large horns, and long ears. Females have smaller bodies with small horns.
The average size of Sindh Ibex shot in these areas is around 37”. Bigger ibex are present and some exceptional trophies are taken each year.

Sindh Ibex Travel
All areas that will be used for hunting are safe areas and are not in regions with Taliban activity. Over a period of many years, the outfitter has conducted these hunts without any safety issues.
Arrival is at Islamabad International Airport (also known as Benazir International) International flights normally arrive after midnight. The outfitter conducts hunts for Sindh Ibex in two different regions, Sindh and Baluchistan. If hunting the Sindh region, you will drive 2.5-3 hours to the village in that region and overnight before beginning your hunt.
If you are hunting the Baluchistan region, after meeting your representative at the international arrivals area, you shall have breakfast at the restaurant in the airport while waiting for our domestic flight to Karachi airport. After breakfast, you will check in for a domestic departure. It is a 2-hr flight to Karachi. Upon arrival at Karachi, depending on the travel time to the hunting village that has been selected by the outfitter and the client’s desire, you can continue to the hunting village or stay in Karachi overnight.
The drive to the 4 different hunting villages in Baluchistan varies from 2.5 hours to 11 hours. The outfitter will have selected a village based on trophy sightings by the locals. Once you have arrived at the selected village, you will overnight and begin your hunt the following day.
The next morning, after breakfast, you will begin hunting Sindh Ibex in the surrounding hills. The terrain is easier than the hunts for Himalayan Ibex and Blue Sheep, as the Sindh Ibex prefer lower elevation hilly areas rather than steep high mountain slopes. You will hike and glass each day for a suitable trophy ibex. Once a suitable trophy is spotted, you will execute a stalk to get into shooting range.
The hike back down to the village will commence once your Ibex has been taken and skinned.

The Sindh Ibex Hunting Accommodations
There are multiple villages where the outfitter conducts these ibex hunts. Each hunt is unique, as it features different terrains, accommodations, difficulty of access, etc.
The accommodations are basic but comfortable. You will have a private bedroom and bathroom. One of the 5 hunting villages has very basic accommodations. The remainder are all decent, but this is not a luxury hunt but rather a hunt that is conducted from remote villages lacking many modern amenities.
The outfitter has some remote places where bigger ibex are found, and also has easier access villages where a hunter can hunt an acceptable size ibex from an area very near to the village/road. The trophy size will not be as good in these areas as in some of the more remote areas but will allow a hunter with mobility issues to still have a successful hunt and harvest an ibex.
For the hunter wanting the biggest trophy, adding an extra day or two at $600 / day and being in mountain shape will up your odds of coming away with that absolute monster of the mountains!

THE BEST TIMES TO HUNT SINDH IBEX
The beginning of the season can be good because the animals have not been pressured.
The Sindh Ibex rut is in November and December.
February is difficult because it is windy, and the animals hide from the wind.
