I went on a number of safaris over the next ten years, each time taking different rifles. I even was able to take a Smith and Wesson 500 Magnum revolver on one safari in South Africa and one in Zimbabwe. The need for Global Hunting Safaris was created at the request of the clients of the widely successful website Discount African Hunts. As hunters gained confidence and trust in the Discount African Hunts brand, they began requesting hunting safaris in different parts of the world. The founder, John Martins of Palm Harbor Florida, began adding international hunting destinations to the Africa hunting website, but deep down, he felt that an Africa hunting website should feature Africa. Africa is a diverse continent with over 170 species of huntable game. Even ardent hunters are not likely to hunt all of Africa’s animals. With such a broad breadth of opportunities, it is unlikely that even an expansive website like Discount African Hunts will ever be able to cover them all.
John decided to separate the two in 2021, and in 2022 construction of the new Global Hunting Safaris website began. Global Hunting Safaris plan is to offer quality hunts on all continents except Africa. If a visitor to the Global Hunting Safaris website wishes to view African hunting safaris, he will be directed to the Discount African Hunts website.
The difference between booking a hunt on the Global Hunting Safaris website and other online hunting safari booking websites is that one of our staff has likely hunted with the outfitter we represent. The key to Discount African Hunts success was the fact that we had hunted with and vetted the vast majority of the outfitters we represent. We know the product and represent it accurately. There are no embellishments or misrepresentations just to get a commission. We are hunters and are looking for the same great hunting experiences that you seek.
